About "Foundations of the Family"
I believe wholeheartedly in the importance of family. I am the biggest advocate for any husband and wife who are building their marriage on the Cornerstone, Jesus. I am the crazy fan who shouts louder than arena music whenever I see parents stepping into raising and disciplining their children, building their lives on the Rock of Jesus. Anything built to last requires a strong foundation. As Jesus says, "Everyone who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock" (Matthew 7:24).
In this world, the meaning and function of the family are often questioned and challenged. We are blessed that we can look to God's Word to find instruction, hope, and direction to ensure we are following God in our pursuits to build a proper foundation for our family. “Foundations of the Family” invites you and your family to dive into God's Word and look at the four foundations every family needs.
This book is not merely a theological study; we hope this can be a practical guide for families to have Gospel-centered conversations at home. We will explore how husbands can lovingly lead, wives can support with wisdom and grace, children can honor their parents while growing in Christlikeness, and parents can nurture and cultivate the growth of the next generation. Together, we will look at how these foundations extend beyond the walls of our homes, shaping our communities and the church itself.
