Thanksgiving at the Jail
November 25 | Food Donation Deadline
November 26 | Jail Visit
We have another opportunity to share Christ's love at the Genesee County Jail this Thanksgiving!
For the last several years we've had the privilege of spending Thanksgiving morning with those within the Genesee County Jail. In addition to sharing the Gospel, we're also able to bless inmates and staff with Thanksgiving dinner, as well as homemade pies to every Sheriff Deputy on duty.
In order to feed everyone we need volunteers to cook turkeys and/or bake pies! If cooking and baking aren't on your list of spiritual gifts, you can apply to join us Thanksgiving morning as we enter into the facility to pray and share the Gospel. The time commitment for this visit is approximately three hours, from 9a-12p.
Turkey and Pie Guidelines:• Turkeys must be 15 pounds or larger. They need to be cooked, de-boned, and placed in a ziploc bag. Frozen turkeys will not be accepted.
• Pies must be homemade and baked in a disposable container. Containers cannot be returned. Apple, pumpkin, and pecan pies are accepted.
