Title: Gathering Director - Walled Lake
The primary function of the Gathering Director is to lead, manage, and coordinate the music ministry and worship of the Church. He/She will function on a part-time basis as a member of the professional ministry staff, and be an active part of The River Church. He/She will work with the Gathering Pastor and team to set the spirit and order of all the worship gatherings. The Gathering Director is responsible for training and shepherding bands and overseeing the planning and implementation of each gathering structure, including musical selection, arrangements, and production ministries.
Qualifications: The Gathering Director must possess a godly, and faithful character that exemplifies the Spirit filled walk of a child of God (1 Cor. 4:1,2; 1 Tim. 4:12). He/She must be a worshiper (Jn. 4) who senses the call of God to use his/her gifts in motivating, mobilizing, and maximizing the musical resources available in the Church. He/She should be a teacher, ministering to the musical and spiritual needs of the Body of Christ, and be capable of presenting a well rounded, balanced approach to music and the arts in public worship, including a sense that God has gifted him/her with both special and learned abilities to draw Christians to a place where they can worship Him in Spirit and in Truth (John 4:24; 1 Tim. 4:13-16). He/She shall be a professionally trained musician, who has experience and appreciation for both the traditional and more contemporary forms of worship.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Worship
• Lead worship at Sunday 10:30am gathering
• Schedule Worship band volunteers
• Timeline Goal: 4 weeks ahead
• Create and work from a Master Song Set list every 16 weeks
• Develop and disciple volunteers for worship band
• Maintain stage cleanliness and layout
• Oversee worship and production projects as time allows to continue a push for excellence and growth in these ministries
Production
• Schedule Production volunteers
• Manage stage wiring for band each week, make changes as necessary
• Oversee and prepare ProPresenter (Worship Lyrics, Scripture & Media)
• Have knowledge in and troubleshoot Sunday morning Audio/Video needs
• Oversee audio recordings
We understand there are limits to a part-time job in this capacity. As such, we have a system in place for support as needed when it comes to volunteer development and last minute emergencies like equipment failure, etc. during “off-times”. In addition, being a part-time job, we do not require certain things like attendance at all church events and additional services, however, we do provide the opportunity if you are willing, to participate in events as listed below for extra hours above the normal part-time salary.
Additional Job Possibilities: (additional hours)
• Assist with Worship and Production at Summer Camp, Winter Camps, Retreats
• Assist with Worship and Production for all church events and gatherings in addition to Sunday morning

Schedule
• Attend Bi-Weekly All Staff Meeting (2 per month, can be virtual)
• Attend Weekly Gathering Team Meeting (can be virtual)
• 1:1 Meeting with Locations Gathering Director (as scheduled)

• Christmas Eve + Easter Sunday Required
• Yearly Staff Retreat (usually end of May) (optional)

Salary Range
• 10-15 hours per week
• $18-20/hr.
• Paid as part-time salary
