Volunteer Opportunities
Thanks for your interest in supporting our mission to share the Gospel through Trunk or Treat! We have multiple ways in which you can serve.
Donate Candy
It takes thousands of pieces of candy to make this event happen! We could not do this event without your help. There are two options in which you can donate:
1. The good ol’ fashioned way; purchase candy while you’re running errands and drop it off at your location.
2. If you would like to donate candy but don’t want to go through the hassle of hauling it around, you can purchase tax free, directly through Amazon and have it delivered to the church office! Please note: Amazon may default shipping to your most recently used address. Be sure to click “Your Location Trunk or Treat Candy” option when you checkout.
Volunteer On-site
Teamwork makes the dream work! There are several roles that need to be filled the day of Trunk or Treat, Saturday, October 25th. To volunteer on-site you must submit a background check. On-site volunteer options include:
Decorate a Trunk:
Get creative and decorate your trunk for families to enjoy while you pass out candy. We encourage you to dress up too!
Set Up & Tear Down:
We're thrilled to host this event for our communities, but we couldn't do it without you! Help set up & tear down chairs, tables, etc.
Parking Team:
We all need a little direction from time to time! Help guide our guests as they enter the parking lot and direct them toward where they need to go.
Guest Services & Registration: Be a friendly smile, help answer questions, and check in participants.
Greeters & Crowd Control:
Share the joy you have in Jesus! Help direct guests where they need to go and make conversation. Make sure they feel welcome at The River!
Candy Runners (Students): Our River Students help keep trunks stocked! Students 6th-12th grade are encouraged to join in on the fun and help keep cars supplied with plenty of candy for our guests.
Wherever Needed: This is the catch all volunteer spot. You’re ready wherever you may be needed!
